The Perceptionists are an American hip hop music group on the Definitive Jux label headed by rapper/producer El-P. The trio consists of Fakts One as the DJ, Akrobatik and Mr. Lif. They hail from Boston, Massachusetts.

The group is known for their socially conscious lyrics. Their first album, Black Dialogue came out on March 23, 2005 and featured the single Memorial Day, which was heavily critical of the war in Iraq. The album also featured guest spots from Humpty Hump from Digital Underground and Guru from Gang Starr.
